Professional Track Teaching Faculty Position in Structural Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Penn State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-line, professional track teaching faculty position in structural engineering. The successful candidate will teach courses related to structural engineering and geotechnical engineering topics. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the department through service, such as advising student organizations and serving on department committees.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have design-related experience and hold a master's or doctoral degree in civil engineering or a closely related field. The candidate should also be licensed or a candidate for licensure as a professional engineer (P.E.) and have demonstrated teaching experience through academic courses, professional conference presentations, or related activities.
Appointment will be at the appropriate faculty rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor. Rank and length of term will be determined based on education and experience. The position is a term appointment with a possibility of renewal.
