Mechanical Technician Specialist for a Dynamic Maintenance Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team at SLB. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relative experience and possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems.



Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of equipment as per operational demands. This involves improving maintenance-related non-productive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and enhancing maintenance efficiency and people productivity.



Key Responsibilities


  2. Execute and close-out maintenance work orders to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Perform maintenance scheduling to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
  4. Conduct equipment initial maintenance evaluations to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  5. Reconcile post-job resources to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  6. Dispose of equipment in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  7. Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and comply with the reliability-centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.
  8. Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs, and equipment maintenance performance history.
  9. Comply with TLB Product Line standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  10. Participate in continuous improvement culture, initiatives, and improvement plans within MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
  11. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts, and repair authorization numbers, failures, and work-in-process.
  12. Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
  13. Implement CoSD projects, such as planned repair and reuse of parts.
  14. Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
  15. Comply with the TLM Competency Management System to ensure ongoing skill development and certification.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  2. 2-3 years of relative experience in mechanical maintenance.
  3. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and principles.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  7. Forklift or overhead crane equipment experience is a plus.
  8. Frac knowledge and experience are also a plus.
