Mechanical Technician Specialist for a Dynamic Maintenance Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team at SLB. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relative experience and possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of equipment as per operational demands. This involves improving maintenance-related non-productive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and enhancing maintenance efficiency and people productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and close-out maintenance work orders to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform maintenance scheduling to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
- Conduct equipment initial maintenance evaluations to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Reconcile post-job resources to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Dispose of equipment in accordance with company standards and regulations.
- Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and comply with the reliability-centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.
- Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs, and equipment maintenance performance history.
- Comply with TLB Product Line standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement culture, initiatives, and improvement plans within MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts, and repair authorization numbers, failures, and work-in-process.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
- Implement CoSD projects, such as planned repair and reuse of parts.
- Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
- Comply with the TLM Competency Management System to ensure ongoing skill development and certification.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2-3 years of relative experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Forklift or overhead crane equipment experience is a plus.
- Frac knowledge and experience are also a plus.
