About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Billings Clinic. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging services in the specialty of Ultrasound.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations as ordered by physicians.
  • Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of all patients in the sonographic area.
  • Interview patients, explain examination procedures, and assist in positioning patients for scans.
  • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images.
  • Maintain patient examination records in accordance with Billings Clinic policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist physicians with invasive Ultrasound guidance procedures as needed.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, medical history, and utilize independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area in a neat, organized manner and maintain adequate supplies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or eight (8) years on-the-job training.
  • Current registration with ARDMS or CCI. Board registry required in physics and adult echocardiography.
  • EKG training.
  • Current Health Care Provider CPR Certification.
