Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian Specialist to join our team at Adventist Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled dietitian to work with patients with diabetes and their family members, providing education and training on self-management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized or group diabetes management plans for patients and their families.
  • Provide educational interventions that utilize interactive, collaborative, skill-based training methods.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary diabetes care team to implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in the development of training materials and provide educational resources for healthcare teams.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to outpatients with diagnoses other than diabetes.
  • Perform nutrition assessments, reassessments, and patient/family education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience as a clinical dietitian preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification required.
