Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at Design Tanks. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients in the industrial sector.

Your primary focus will be on identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. You will also recommend marketing strategies designed for a target market, prepare quotes based on customer specifications, and follow up with customers to resolve differences throughout the sales process.

In this role, you will be working closely with our operations team to identify new opportunities and bring new products to market. You must be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures related to sales and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and establish contact with potential customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
  • Focusing sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of current and potential customers
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales progress
  • Analyze customer requests and needs
  • Prepare and present company information in front of a group

This is a full-time position that requires travel from 33% to 50%. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the industrial products sector, and a strong understanding of sales principles and practices.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, marketing, or sales)
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the industrial products sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
