The Senior Nutritionist will provide program support to the SNAP-Ed Regional Program Director, focusing on nutrition education and obesity prevention efforts in the Long Island Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs for diverse adult and youth audiences.
- Collaborate with program committees, CCE staff, and local agencies to advance program objectives.
- Secure grants and manage budgets to support program priorities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on nutrition-related topics.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nutrition or Public Health.
- Knowledge of nutrition principles, theory, and research.
- Proven ability to develop and implement educational programs.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in planning and teaching adult educational programs.
- Two or more years of experience in Cooperative Extension or similar fields.
- Experience in grant writing and budget management.
