The Senior Nutritionist will provide program support to the SNAP-Ed Regional Program Director, focusing on nutrition education and obesity prevention efforts in the Long Island Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs for diverse adult and youth audiences.
  • Collaborate with program committees, CCE staff, and local agencies to advance program objectives.
  • Secure grants and manage budgets to support program priorities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on nutrition-related topics.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nutrition or Public Health.
  • Knowledge of nutrition principles, theory, and research.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement educational programs.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in planning and teaching adult educational programs.
  • Two or more years of experience in Cooperative Extension or similar fields.
  • Experience in grant writing and budget management.
