The Meat Cutter is responsible for ensuring the store's meat department operates at the highest standards, driving sales and maximizing profitability. This role requires delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction by following the company's meat merchandising plan and preparing standard cuts of meat.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize knives and power equipment to cut and package authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and display meat cuts and products in the display counter to create an attractive and appealing presentation for customers.
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery, maintaining the cold chain and ensuring meat quality.
- Ensure excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily, adhering to Save A Lot's policies.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Experience with manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machines, and power saws is preferred.
- Ability to regularly lift 50lbs.
