About the Role

Columbus City Schools is seeking a skilled Nurse Aide Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our Adult and Community Education department, you will be responsible for teaching and coordinating the nurse aide program, providing quality services that support our mission to serve our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing teaching strategies that meet course objectives or outcomes
  • Evaluating student achievement and progress
  • Providing a syllabus or outline to each nurse aide student
  • Working cooperatively with staff members to develop and implement effective educational programs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least two years of experience in the practice of nursing as a licensed registered nurse
  • Experience in evaluating the clinical skills of individuals providing care in a long-term care setting
  • Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio
  • Ohio Department of Education - Adult Education Permit (Health Occupations)

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Evidence of competent skills in the area being taught
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Expert communication and writing skills
