About the Role: The University of the District of Columbia is seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor to teach assigned courses as specified in the schedule and course contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and selects texts and instructional materials; prepares course materials and lesson plans.
  • Provides students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines, and evaluation criteria.
  • Maintains records of enrollment and attendance, assessments, and grades.
  • Creatively delivers course content using a variety of teaching styles and provides interesting and engaging assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts covered.

Requirements:

  • Possesses a Master's degree in Logic, Philosophy, Political Science, History, or equivalent degree.
  • Demonstrates prior teaching experience or evidence of teaching potential and/or corporate/industry training.

Salary Estimate: Based on industry standards, we estimate this position offers a salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
