Job Summary:
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Maintain current skills and knowledge in area of specialty, utilizing evidence-based practice and research to inform nursing decisions.
- Document care provided accurately and efficiently, utilizing electronic health records and other documentation tools.
- Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Serve as patient advocate, promoting dignity and respect in all interactions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medication administration and treatment, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, focusing on nurse-sensitive indicators and patient outcomes.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Support departmental and organizational financial goals, maintaining efficient time management and adhering to attendance policies.
- Maintain licensure and certification, completing mandatory education and training programs as required.
- Participate in unit/department/system committees and councils, promoting collaboration and shared decision-making.
- Graduate from accredited School of Nursing, licensed to practice in the state where work is being performed.
Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies, as well as competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
