Enterprise Desktop Support Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Software Guidance and Assistance, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting and administering enterprise-level desktop technology, including Windows Server operating systems and Microsoft Active Directory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, knowledge transfer, and mentoring to other IT staff and technology users. They will also evaluate and recommend new or improved methods, tools, or systems for the enterprise desktop technology domain.
The Enterprise Desktop Support Specialist will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions. They will also participate in projects to implement enterprise desktop technologies and provide subject matter technical assistance to other IT staff and technology users.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, including Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019. They will also have experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and other enterprise-level desktop technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support to clients
- Evaluate and recommend new or improved methods, tools, or systems for the enterprise desktop technology domain
- Participate in projects to implement enterprise desktop technologies
- Provide subject matter technical assistance to other IT staff and technology users
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions
Requirements:
- 6 years of demonstrated technical experience in supporting or administering a relevant technology (e.g. Microsoft Windows, MSOffice, Active Directory) in a medium size corporate environment
- Enterprise level certification (e.g. Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, Microsoft End-Point Manager Administrator, Microsoft Orchestrator, Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Administrator) may be considered in lieu of experience or education requirements
- SCCM expertise
- Working knowledge and ability to support and administer most of the following Advanced Enterprise Technology Components: 3rd level IT escalation support including networking, group policy, security, Workstation Administration (e.g. Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, BeyondTrust Power Broker), Microsoft Desktop technology products (e.g. Windows 10 and higher, MSOffice, MSProject), System Center Configuration Manager or other Windows imaging and software deployment technologies, Software package development and associated tools (e.g. AdminStudio, Orca), PowerShell expertise, Apple Desktop technology products (e.g. OS X, iOS, Office for Mac), JAMF Casper Suite, or other Apple imaging and software deployment technologies, Mobile computing (e.g. Mobile devices, Microsoft Direct Access, Service Management infrastructure components, Inventory, CMDB Management (SQL, pc lifecycle management)
