About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced clinical instructor to join our team as a Maternal Child Clinical Educator. This role will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement clinical experiences for nursing students, providing direct supervision and evaluation of their performance.
  • Evaluate student performance based on course objectives and provide documented feedback.
  • Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
  • Teach didactic course content under the supervision of a course coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including student progress and evaluation data.
Requirements
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • An unencumbered professional nursing license in North Carolina.
  • At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
What We Offer

As a Maternal Child Clinical Educator at Chamberlain University, you can expect a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $63,600 - $86,400 per year, depending on the credit hour assigned to the course.
