Job Summary

The Family Health Center of Kalamazoo is seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with school personnel, families, and other professionals to address barriers to the educational success of at-risk children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify unmet needs and barriers to educational success.
  • Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement strategies to support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and language development.
  • Provide family support and facilitate Trauma-Informed Care practices to promote children's emotional growth and academic success.
  • Develop and implement interventions to address barriers to school attendance and success.
  • Work closely with school personnel to ensure all of the children's needs are met for educational success.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field (Counseling Psychology, Social Work) and licensure required.
  • Preferred Infant Mental Health Certification or willingness to obtain.
