We are seeking an adaptable, experienced Business Development Manager to join one of our Partner Success Teams. The goal for this individual is to identify new opportunities with the largest, most strategic merchants and provide them with all the resources needed to achieve their growth objectives.

What You Will Do

The Business Development Manager will:

  • Build and execute jointly agreed-upon business plans with partners or merchants to drive mutual growth and success
  • Deliver enhancements to existing brands and identify areas for improvement with key strategic partners
  • Work closely with internal analysts, delivery, and marketing teams at Klarna to drive enablement and lead generation activities
  • Identify new partnerships or business opportunities, pitch Klarna's services, and close new deals, upsells, and expansion opportunities
  • Build strong relationships at both the executive and individual levels
  • Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, including C-suite
  • Conduct extensive market research to position Klarna optimally
  • Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships
  • Ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained
  • Create and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews to members of merchants' C-suite teams
Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 6+ years in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales
  • Experience in retail, payments, technology, and/or ecommerce
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Highly driven with a passion for learning about and engaging with new cultures
  • Desire to build a business from the ground up
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Compensation

Klarna offers a competitive salary range of $149,597-$170,540, along with benefits that include equity options and a contribution-based reward program.
