Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment including tractors and trailers.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance within company standards, completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability, and handling road service calls.
In addition, you will be required to maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations, and government guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance within company standards
- Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
- Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
Benefits and Compensation:
This role is eligible for overtime compensation, a retention bonus, certification premium, and CDL premium. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $66,240 - $84,288 per year, depending on relevant experience and education.
