Radiation Oncology Specialist

The Radiation Oncology Specialist at WATSON CLINIC plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care through the administration of radiation therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Maintains and enhances their knowledge of radiation therapy equipment operation, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Ensures proper quality control measures are in place for all machines, guaranteeing accurate treatment delivery.
- Monitors patients for unusual reactions to radiation therapy, promptly addressing any concerns or issues.
- Delivers personalized treatment courses of radiation therapy, tailoring plans to meet individual patient needs.
- Serves as a valuable resource to physicians, providing expert guidance and support throughout the treatment process.
- Efficiently manages time, prioritizing tasks and optimizing workflows to maximize productivity.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient treatment charts, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare teams.
- Adapts to changing circumstances, accepting additional duties as assigned and participating in departmental meetings to foster collaboration and growth.
To be successful as a Radiation Oncology Specialist, candidates must possess:
- An Associate in Science degree in radiation therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure by the state of Florida.
- A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or completion within three months of employment.
Prior experience is preferred, with a minimum of one year in a related field demonstrating proficiency and expertise.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary range for this position is $ $84,000 - $110,000, commensurate with experience.
