St Louis, Missouri, United States Vitas Healthcare Full time

We are a pioneering hospice organization dedicated to delivering comfort and dignity at the end of life's journey. Our team of compassionate caregivers is committed to making a difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team as an End-of-Life Care Specialist. As a home care RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive high-quality, patient-centered care that focuses on comfort rather than cure.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health settings, with equivalent experience or licensure considered. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation with adequate insurance coverage are also required.

About the Role

As a VITAS Home Care RN, you will spend most of your time caring for hospice patients in their homes, ALFs, nursing homes, hospitals, or medical facilities. You will work independently, adjusting your schedule based on the needs of your patients. On average, you can expect to make 4-6 visits per day, with about once a week spent in the office meeting with your interdisciplinary team.

  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm or 4x10s/Rotating Weekends every 4-6 weeks if needed
  • Mileage Reimbursement: 0.67/mile
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, HSA, FSA, Tuition Reimbursement, PTO, etc.
What We Offer

A competitive salary of $ $83,500-$105,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development. Our nurses are valued members of our team, respected for their expertise and compassion. If you are passionate about providing end-of-life care with dignity and respect, we encourage you to apply.

In addition to your RN license, you will need to meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently licensed to practice nursing where the VITAS program is located.

  • Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered.
