We are seeking a skilled Wireless Network Administrator to join our team at Diverse Systems Group, LLC (DSG). This position offers an estimated salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our wireless network infrastructure. This includes:

  • Monitoring wireless network performance and resolving issues promptly.
  • Conducting regular updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
  • Performing routine network audits to ensure security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Network Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Monitor wireless network performance, promptly identify, and resolve issues.
    • Conduct regular updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
    • Perform routine network audits to ensure security and compliance.
  • Security and Authentication:
    • Implement and maintain security protocols, encryption, and access controls.
    • Manage user authentication and authorization through RADIUS or other mechanisms.
    • Stay current with security best practices and threats in the wireless networking field.
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot network-related problems.
    • Document network configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Analyze network traffic and provide recommendations for optimization.
    • Optimize wireless network performance through fine-tuning configurations.
    • Plan and execute load balancing and capacity expansion as needed.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Evaluate and select vendors for wireless network equipment and services.
    • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies and products in the wireless networking industry.
  • Policy Development:
    • Develop and enforce policies related to wireless network usage, security, and access.
    • Educate end-users on network policies and best practices.

Candidates Must Possess:

  • An active Confidential clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Wireless Network Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless networking protocols, standards, and technologies (e.g., 802.11ac/ax, WPA3, 802.1X, VLANs).
  • Familiarity with network management tools and software.
  • Certification in wireless networking (e.g., CWNA, CCNA Wireless) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining network security.
