Medical Laboratory Scientist Position at Geisinger Medical Laboratories

Geisinger Medical Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing and reporting laboratory analyses, maintaining instruments, and ensuring quality control standards are met.
About the Role
This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university and one of the following qualifications:
- ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program completion
- ASCP categorical certification
- At least two years' experience in a role equivalent to a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to navigate computer applications, assist in training new employees, and participate in educational activities. Additionally, you must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation package, including three medical plan choices, pre-tax savings plans, company-paid life insurance, and more. The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Start times are Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and three holidays per year. No travel is required.
