Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) II to join our team at our Beaumont, Texas location. As an Oncology Clinic Nurse Specialist, you will provide professional nursing care for patients with various types of cancers. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patient health status, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patient health status, including physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects. Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and effective care delivery. Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Patient Education: Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Triage and Referral: Triage patient phone calls, document relevant information, and refer patients to specialists or community resources as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of RN experience, with oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Licensure: Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced clinical environment, with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.

Salary Range

$83,000 - $113,000 per year, depending on experience.
