Truss Assembler

Purpose and Scope

This entry-level position is responsible for performing repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble parts in a specified relationship to each other.
• Fasten parts together using bolts, clips, screws, or cement.
• Cut products to specific measurements as needed.
• Remove defective products as required.
• Operate machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
• Work at different workstations as production needs dictate.
• Adapt to changing tasks and product models.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Verbal expression skills to effectively present information.
• Basic math skills to perform calculations.
• Ability to read tape measures.

Work Environment

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and outside weather conditions.
