Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join our team at Hire Military Talent. As an I&E Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and electrical equipment, as well as recommending and implementing new processes and technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain electronic flow meters, temperature, and pressure transmitters.
- Install, repair, and maintain programmable logic controllers, RTUs, and other control systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, including motors, pumps, switches, pneumatic controls, and end devices.
- Install, repair, and maintain cellular modems, serial radios, gateways, Ethernet radios, and routers.
- Coordinate and perform maintenance duties to ensure operations and regulatory compliance.
- Read and understand maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications, parts, and procedures.
- Maintain effective communications and work with other functions, including facility operations and supervision, engineering, supply chain, and other I&E employees.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure job duties are carried out safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Enter accurate and timely data into computer-based preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Stay up-to-date with changing technology through training opportunities and networking with others in the field.
- 2+ years of experience/training on control systems equipment.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Understanding of 4-20ma signals, Modbus, and other communication mediums.
- Basic troubleshooting skills with meters, transmitters, RTUs, and PLCs.
- Experience with computer use and basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and associated safety requirements.
- Advanced organizational skills and ability to work independently.
This position operates in a field environment, requiring the ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and be able to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed.
