Job OverviewThe City of Auburn Police Department is seeking highly qualified individuals to fill the position of Police Officer. This role involves protecting lives, property, and maintaining law and order in our community.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Police Officer with the City of Auburn Police Department, your primary duties will include:
- Enforcing laws and regulations within the city limits
- Patrolling assigned areas to prevent and detect crime
- Responding to emergency calls and providing assistance as needed
- Investigating crimes and gathering evidence
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen
- Hold a valid Georgia driver's license with a clean driving record
- Be currently certified as a Peace Officer in the state of Georgia
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a college degree preferred
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation, including psychological and polygraph testing
