Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient-centered care in the MedSurg unit. In collaboration with colleagues, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing care, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling the organization's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and care.
  • Ongoingly assess and improve the quality of patient care services in the unit.
  • Collaborate with experts to foster a team environment that enhances outcomes and service.
  • Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalize current nursing strategies, including rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
  • Recommend and implement actions to ensure a competitively better organization, including interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and recommending personnel policy compliance.
  • Manage staff scheduling and labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
