Fire Protection Specialist

NextGen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician Helper to join our team. As a Technician Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our electrical systems and ensuring the safety and security of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and moving materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Set up work areas, including material and equipment setup.
- Learn to read plans, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Perform tasks such as running conduit, pulling wire, and mounting electrical boxes.
- Support in troubleshooting electrical issues under the guidance of experienced electricians.
- Use hand and power tools to perform electrical tasks safely and efficiently.
- Develop skills in supporting low voltage electrical projects such as fire alarm, access control, BDA, and security.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; some post-high school education or training is preferred.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of basic hand tools.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds, work from heights above 10 feet, and work in confined areas.
- Able to stand for long periods and to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull.
- Able to work in extremely cold and extremely hot temperatures.
- Able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels.
- Must have the ability to learn to pull, terminate, and test all standard industry cable types.
- Must maintain an excellent driving record, maintain the vehicle, and comply with company vehicle policy.
