Integrated Pest Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician to join our cultivation team at Green Thumb. As an IPM Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our cannabis plants, while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular scouting of plant populations to identify potential problems and implement effective solutions
- Apply pesticides, cleaning products, and beneficial organisms to maintain a healthy and balanced ecosystem
- Manage and track biological control agent applications, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Properly document all activities, including application of cleaning products and pesticides, in our Ohio traceability program
- Maintain accurate records of plant counts, tracking information, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with the management team and co-workers to ensure seamless communication and a high level of customer satisfaction
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties
- Previous experience in horticulture, nursery, entomology, or plant pathology is highly desirable
- Pesticide Applicator Certification is a plus
- Some college education is preferred, but not required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent research skills and familiarity with the scientific method
- Proficient in Excel and data collection and entry
- Ability to read and correctly follow written instructions and product labels
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and innovative, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
- Physical demands may include standing and/or walking for extended periods, lifting, carrying, and balancing up to 50 pounds (200 pounds with assistance)
- Some exposure to regulated chemicals, such as fertilizers, cleaning agents, and pesticides, may be required
- Must be able to perform duties while wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by the D.O.A. to receive an Agent badge
