Bakery Order Coordinator Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bakery Order Coordinator to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department, including ordering, inventory management, and merchandising of bakery products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ordering and Inventory Management: Replenish products through proper buying procedures, monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Merchandising: Request and ensure proper signage, control spoilage/shrink, achieve turn goals, and participate in inventory.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with vendors, leadership, and team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive working relationship.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 12+ months retail experience, with a strong background in inventory management and merchandising.
  • Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of bakery products, working knowledge and application of all applicable merchandising expectations, strong basic math skills, and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
