Job Summary:

The Clinical Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating direct patient care activities and providing clinical support to providers within one of our clinical practices. Key responsibilities include checking in patients, obtaining vital signs, and medication reconciliation, as well as expediting patient flow and rooming patients. Additionally, the Clinical Support Specialist will be responsible for stocking clinic supplies, navigating electronic health records, and scheduling appointments and tests. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate with patients and providers in a respectful manner and will uphold Baptist Health's mission and core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively check the provider's schedule and review information within the patient record to ensure that all required information is available prior to their visit.
Obtain any missing information from the patient to ensure that medical records are accurate and up to date.
Capture patient's vital signs, past medical, social and family history, medication usage, and preferred pharmacy information upon arrival.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements, including HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
Peds experience or willingness to learn is required.
Phlebotomy experience or willingness to learn is also required.
Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.
Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days.

Preferred Requirements:
Current MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, AAMP.
Or graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current Licensure without restrictions.
Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.
Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days.
