As an Intensive Care Nurse Specialist at Crozer Health, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care by coordinating patient care and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families.

You must respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Your day can vary from cardiovascular assessments, responding to code 99 alerts, identifying physiologic changes, nursing interventions, and providing cardiac teaching at the professional or community level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their medical needs and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Nursing Care Planning: Develop and implement nursing care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • MEDICATION MANAGEMENT: Administer medications safely and effectively, following the Five Medication Rights.
  • Patient Care Delivery: Provide direct patient care, including performing various procedures and utilizing equipment as needed.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to crises situations using de-escalation techniques, restraints, and patient seclusion as necessary.
  • Nursing Documentation: Accurately document the nursing process, including patient assessment, care planning, and interventions.
  • Communication: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred qualification for this role.
  • Current PA RN License: Required for practice as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • ACLS and PALS Certification: Preferred certifications for this role.
  • Telemetry Experience: Minimum one year of experience in telemetry nursing required.
  • Mandated Reporter Training: Completion of mandated reporter training required.
