Overview

Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Dermatology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment, providing exceptional care to individuals with various skin conditions.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians with procedures, treatment, and instructions to patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with needs or problems relevant to their visits
  • Perform technical LPN functions necessary for the complete and efficient management of patients
  • Facilitate patient flow and assist with procedures, applying wound dressing as needed
  • Maintain biopsy and procedure logbooks, ensuring compliance with BWH and department standards
  • Inform patients of laboratory and pathology results, as directed by physician

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Current LPN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • Some experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in dermatology
  • Basic Life Support certification or willingness to become certified within 3 months
