Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our team at the Albany Medical Center. About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of assigned patients throughout their episode of care, with a focus on progress toward discharge. This includes during transitions within the acute care stay.

Patient Care Coordination

You will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring that competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.

Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP)

Registered Professional Nurses who participate in NPAP must progress from novice to competent within a specialty. You will have the opportunity to apply for advancement to proficient or expert status as outlined in NPAP.

Work Environment

This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes. As a workforce member, you are expected to ensure that access to information is based on a "need to know" and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
