- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
- Develop and enforce policies related to medical practices, protocols, and procedures.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders to represent medical perspectives and interests.
- Manage budget and resources allocated to medical operations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to medical operations and patient care.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatments, and managing patient health in accordance with standards of quality and practice protocols and policies.
- Build rapport with patients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their understanding of treatment plans.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with medical record-keeping standards.
- Stay updated with the latest medical research, treatments, and technologies through ongoing education and training.
- Collaborate with other health professionals, such as specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Comply with all policies, standards, and procedures of Resource Center.
Requirements:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., infectious disease, internal medicine, family medicine, etc.).
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Proven experience in clinical leadership roles, preferably within a non-profit or community health setting.
- Understanding of healthcare administration, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Commitment to Resource Center's mission and values.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of community health issues and healthcare delivery systems.
