Job Title: Fetal Monitoring Nurse/UKHC

Job Summary: The fetal monitoring nurse is a member of the collaborative care team who is responsible for providing continuous vigilance and tele-nursing focused on early prevention/intervention of abnormal fetal heart rate tracings within the Birthing Center to decrease fetal/neonatal morbidity and mortality.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide continuous monitoring and tele-nursing services to patients
* Identify and intervene in abnormal fetal heart rate tracings
* Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
* Provide education and support to patients and their families

Requirements:

* Registered Nurse licensure
* American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification
* Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Monitoring Certification
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Work Environment:

* The fetal monitoring nurse will work in a hospital setting, providing care to patients in the Birthing Center
* The nurse will be required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, and may be exposed to communicable diseases and hazards of radiation
