We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Audiology Extern. As an Audiology Extern, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, and to develop your skills and knowledge in audiology.

The ideal candidate will have completed their third year of an accredited AuD program and be currently enrolled in their fourth year. They will have a strong foundation in audiology and be eager to learn and grow with our team.

As an Audiology Extern, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of a licensed and certified audiologist and to develop your skills in diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic procedures. You will also have the opportunity to participate in activities to increase the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic procedures to evaluate, diagnose, and treat hearing disorders in children.
  • Obtain education, training, and instruction needed to acquire the skills to function independently.
  • Participate in activities to increase the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of third year and current enrollment in fourth year of an accredited AuD program with which CMH&C has a current university affiliation agreement.
  • No experience necessary/on-the-job training.

Starting Pay:

$20.27/hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.

Remote Work/Work from Home:

This position is not eligible for remote work, and the selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of our Children's Mercy locations.
