About the Role

Mallard Creek Polymers is seeking a skilled Chemical Operator to join our team. As a key member of our Production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our polymer production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the polymer production process to ensure quality and safety
  • Facilitate chemical reactions, including adding reactants and monitoring batch instructions
  • Charge reaction vessels and perform routine observations of product quality
  • Monitor computer displays and process control charts to ensure safe operation
  • Transfer finished product to storage tanks and follow safe work practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General understanding of chemistry and chemical reactions
  • 1+ years of work experience in Chemical Batch Operations
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient at Math and computer software
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Chemical Plant Operations Certificate
  • Knowledge and understanding of Hazardous Material management
  • Prior experience as a Latex/Chemical Technician
  • Forklift Experience

This role is based at our Mallard Creek Polymers Plant in Charlotte, NC. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
