Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

About the Role
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across the age spectrum and with acute conditions.
  • Utilize the nursing process to identify individual patient needs and problems and to develop implement and evaluate plans of patient care.
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as resuscitation units, respiratory therapy apparatus, monitoring devices (cardiac monitors, oxygen monitors, etc.), IV pumps and regulators, temperature regulating devices, suction, blood glucose monitors, mist tents, etc.
  • Administer therapeutic treatment measures such as medications, intravenous fluids, blood products, treatments and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with no experience or diploma/associate degree in professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
