Child Life Specialist

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Pediatric Child Life Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will provide emotional support and coping strategies to children and families during hospitalization and illness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement therapeutic play activities for individual children and groups
- Assess children's behaviors and needs, and provide interventions to support coping
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide family-centered care
- Provide education and support to families on child development and coping strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, or related field
- Successful completion of Child Life Internship
- Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) certification within 1 year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Working Conditions:
- Variable schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Rotating shifts, including nights and holidays
