About the Role

As a Retail Operations Manager at Batteries Plus, you will play a crucial role in driving sales objectives and maintaining efficient store operations. Located in Madison, WI, this position offers a wide range of experiences and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Store's business plan, working closely with the Manager to evaluate performance and drive operational activities that control costs while driving business.
  • Lead and direct all store operations activities, including purchasing, receiving, inventory management, customer order management, sales floor recovery, out-of-stock review, and store organization and cleanliness.
  • Support commercial and retail sales strategies and initiatives, collaborating with the team to achieve sales objectives.
  • Assist with selection and training of Store Associates, performing supervisory duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements
  • A minimum High School diploma or equivalent, combined with at least one year of retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, ensuring the capacity to perform physical tasks as required by the role.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, enabling clear directions and understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction, leveraging resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record are essential for this role.
