Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to oversee the development and servicing of Northern Trust's FX Local Markets. This role will cover the full breadth of our FX products, including Direct Dealing, CustodyFX, CompleteFX, and Trading. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the expansion and product development in emerging and restricted markets, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and managing client inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and servicing of Northern Trust's FX Local Markets, including direct dealing, CustodyFX, and delegated FX solutions across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM markets.
  • Drive the expansion and product development in emerging and restricted markets, including additional liquidity providers, 3rd party capabilities, reporting, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with the Global and Regional Chief Dealers and Global Head of FX Sales & Service to ensure trading and client service requirements are met.
  • Manage internal and external client inquiries relating to emerging markets on a day-to-day basis.
  • Oversee and engage with Northern Trust's sub-custodian and network management teams.
  • Collaborate with sales, business development, and client solutions teams to develop and deliver client pitches, RFI/RFP, and other new business activities pertaining to local markets.
  • Maintain and enhance detailed local market guides for internal and external use, clearly defining NT's service offering and market-specific considerations.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of overall GFX strategy, working with FX business heads of Trading, Sales & Service, and Transactional FX.
  • Participate in the capital planning process by defining incremental projects to enhance FX capabilities and overseeing them through the agile IT development process to implementation.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of FX markets, ideally with a focus in local/emerging markets or product development.
  • 5 or more years of relevant foreign exchange experience, with knowledge of foreign exchange markets and operations.
  • Experience managing client and internal relationships, together with client servicing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change, with the ability to work in a global, dynamic team.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Technical FX skills/systems knowledge.
