Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our District I team in Salt Lake City. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our district office, including managing customer and technical service personnel to achieve short and mid-term financial and operating objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish the strategic direction of the district team and ensure the delivery of equipment and services exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage performance to achieve revenue growth and budget expectations.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive flawless execution of business objectives.
  • Build a cohesive work group by clarifying accountabilities, involving the group in decisions, and providing resources to execute business strategies.
  • Engage employees by being honest and consistent, keeping commitments, exchanging ideas openly, and providing support.
  • Create a customer service culture that enhances the customer experience.
  • Drive performance by setting performance expectations and holding people accountable for getting results.
  • Partner with internal teams to promote revenue growth, cost containment, and operational excellence.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of product and service offerings.
  • Use insight into market drivers to capitalize on key business opportunities.
  • Emphasize continuous improvement processes, products, and services and explore innovative ways to do the job.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Encourage an environment in which individuals have a sense of ownership and influence over their work.
  • Perform in a fast-paced environment and maintain communication with other departments within the organization.
  • Comply with patient privacy laws in all matters.
  • Operate with a proactive approach towards safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental, and customer policies and regulations.
  • Provide leadership, planning, and direction to ensure business objectives and financial goals are achieved.
  • Proactively support customer on-site service.
  • Hold self and team accountable for timely completion of assignments and achieving expected results.
  • Understand and use effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Oversee equipment and supply management practices.
  • Promote communication among team members to create visibility for internal staff and customers.
  • Makes sound and timely decisions.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medical equipment.
  • Manage equipment inventory and par levels consistent with contract terms, pricing, and policies.
  • Manage missing and lost equipment, software upgrades, and accessories.
  • Use available resources to ensure teams operate efficiently and handle geographic routing and prioritization to service customers.
  • Gain knowledge to be proficient in systems.
  • Complete and maintain DOT certification, according to location-specific needs.
  • Oversee staffing levels and on-call schedules based on demand.
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees.
  • Provide cross- and lateral training, emphasizing continuous improvement and teamwork, and providing on-going feedback with focused action steps for areas of improvement.
  • Understand and perform audits and periodic internal reviews to ensure proper business management practices are followed.
  • Demonstrate the leadership to inspire others by modeling a positive commitment to the business, peers, other departments, direct reports, and clients.
  • Ensure timeliness of district-wide performance appraisals.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
Requirements
  • 3 years of management experience.
  • Prefer healthcare, hospital industry, medical equipment, sales, and services experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Business and financial management expertise to assist with contract management and account margin maintenance.
  • Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and budget management experience.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required.
  • Travel up to 10-25%.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales skills and ability to function independently with little oversight.
  • Travel up to 40-60%.
