About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Connections Health Solutions. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in crisis.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and document pertinent information, including triage, behavioral health, physical health, and substance abuse issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans as part of the multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Provide education and support to individuals and their families regarding behavioral health diagnoses, medications, and treatments.
  • Intervene in crisis situations using verbal de-escalation techniques and therapeutic options.
  • Accurately transcribe provider orders and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Perform chart checks and sign off on medications prescribed.
  • Draw labs and provide wound care as ordered by providers.
  • Complete nurse-to-nurse handoffs at discharge or when accepting individuals from another facility.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
  • Unrestricted active license as a Registered Professional Nurse through the State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege.
  • Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
  • Working on ASAM 3.7, the RN shall have competencies and experience in conducting an alcohol or other drug-focused nursing assessment.
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company's exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain a State of Virginia Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • At least 1 year of psychiatric, behavioral health, or relevant experience.
  • Previous emergency room or crisis psychiatric care experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with addiction and addiction management.
