Job Summary

RN Essential Functions:

  • Assessment/Reassessment: Systematically assess the healthcare needs of patients, taking into account age groups and patient conditions. Collaboration with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes: Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, involving patients, family members, and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Implementation and Coordination of Care: Provide nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs, guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to identify problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions. Discharge planning involves utilizing available resources as needed.
Professional Practice Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care, and ongoing BLS certification is mandatory for employment duration.
  • Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: New graduates are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
Salary Information

An estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
