About the Role

As an Human Resources Support Specialist at Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM), you will play a vital role in supporting the Director of HR and the overall HR department. We are seeking an organized and efficient individual who can provide top-notch administrative support to our team.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the HR inbox and respond to frequently asked questions from employees regarding standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the Human Resources department in verbal/written communications through clerical support.
  • Support HR by providing objective and complete documentation during investigations.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and external vendors, including support reps, booking events, and other miscellaneous providers.
  • Assist with coordinating, planning, and executing various meetings, special events, and organization-wide events.
  • Collect receipts and prepare expense reports and CC reconciliation for the Director of HR.
  • Organize, maintain, and ensure accuracy in HR databases such as H/HR drive, Teams, files, Outlook, and other confidential personnel electronic and paper files.
  • Assist with maintaining employee changes in HR systems and IT systems.
  • Assist with creating, deploying, and summarizing recurring surveys for the team, department, and organization.
  • Schedule necessary meetings and take meeting minutes; assign follow-up tasks for efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage paperwork for Town Halls, HR meetings, and other necessary occasions.
  • Oversee and maintain HRs activities calendar and help coordinate organizational employee activities, trainings, and meetings in conjunction with other key stakeholders.
  • Create various reports on a recurring basis as well as proofread and type documents and correspondence produced by the HR department.
  • Help develop and vet Standard Operating Procedures for HR and the ministry.
  • Track needed changes and give recommended edits on Employee Handbook for accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Develop and update needed Forms for employees in digital and paper format.
  • Assist with internal Communication needs as needed.
  • Provide backup and role redundancy for key responsibilities and processes in HR when needed.

Requirements & Core Competencies:

  • Associates/Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and other various software platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on administrative writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess appropriate priority levels.
  • Task-driven and detail-oriented, able to stay on task and follow-through.
  • Possesses strategic coordination, planning, and organization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Thrives in fast-paced work environment and has the ability to learn new skills quickly.
