Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at El Paso Children's Hospital. About the Role
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric oncology and hematology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to develop comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and laboratory results, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Administer medications, therapies, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safe and effective delivery of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • RN License to practice in the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
  • APHON Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider certification within 6 months of hire
  • Associate degree in Nursing (or higher)
  • Chemo Certified or in the process of certification preferred
  • Hematology Certification or in the process of certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
  • Experience working with children and families in a hospital setting
Compensation and Benefits
