Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients and families while ensuring accurate and timely billing and follow-up on accounts.

About the Role
  • Resolve billing concerns and address inquiries related to insurance matters, assist patients with MyChart while establishing a rapport with diverse patient populations.
  • Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner, communicate clearly and professionally through oral and written communication.
  • Contact payers and make hard inquiries on account status if needed, escalate problem accounts to appropriate areas and document billing activity according to departmental guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Handles a high volume of inbound calls, resolves patient complaints, and ensures compliance with privacy, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledgeable about the entire Revenue Cycle and Epic system, participates in general or special assignments, and attends required training sessions.
  • Cross-trained and proficient to operate in various roles, including A/R Follow-up Representative, Cash Posting Representative, Claims Clearinghouse Representative, and more.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, 2 years of experience in billing, bookkeeping, or accounting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
