Job Title: Physician - Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Specialist

Unity Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Physician - Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Specialist to join our team at the DC Jail Infirmary. As a key member of our medical team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our nursing staff, and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care, health services, and other provider duties in a safe and compliant manner
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose and treat medical conditions, and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with our nursing staff to provide comprehensive, team-based care to patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical best practices
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements:
  • Current DC Professional License
  • Board eligible or board certified/ licensed in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Ability to work collaboratively with our nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
