Job Summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Inspector 2/3 to join our team in Oxnard, CA. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies. This includes visually inspecting in-process and completed products, performing required inspections, and using various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect and perform tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies.
* Use various measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines, to inspect and measure components and assemblies.
* Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
* Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.

Requirements

* High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection role.
* Experience utilizing various measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.
* Experience with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 and other related specifications.
* Experience soldering to J-STD-001 standards.
* Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.
* Understanding of GD&T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications and related criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

* Strong Computer skills.
* Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results.
* Experience working in a team environment to solve problems and balance workloads.
* Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
