Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Operations Specialist to join our team at Waukesha County Technical College. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing adjunct instructor assignments, workload distribution, and adjunct instructor contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with academic departments to gather information on course offerings, enrollment, and adjunct instructor availability
  • Generate adjunct instructor contracts, agreements, and letters of appointment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with departments to resolve discrepancies or contractual issues
  • Generate electronic payment action forms (EPAF) for non-contact instructional hours for adjunct instructors and instructors working in the Corporate Training Center (CTC)
  • Operate as the subject matter expert (SME) as it relates to the faculty load and compensation (FLAC) module in Ellucian Banner to ensure module is operating correctly and efficiently
  • Document practices and procedures to be shared across the College for those utilizing the FLAC module or involved with adjunct instructor pay
  • Attend meetings and workshops related to FLAC and adjunct instructor pay
  • Perform testing and quality assurance procedures on updates to the FLAC module and EPAF process to ensure no unintended impacts have occurred
  • May assist with program recruitment efforts, such as semi-annual Open Houses events
Requirements
  • Associates' degree in business administration, payroll, or relevant discipline; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three years' recent, related work experience
  • Familiarity with higher education structure and policies is preferred
