We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable LPN to join our team as a Travel LPN, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

About the Role

This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting. Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents, contributes to the assessment of residents, administers medications or treatments as ordered, and documents resident interactions as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan.
  • Recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively to assist in an emergent situation.
  • Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed and counsels residents, family members, and/or resident advocate under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician on prevention and treatment plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • An associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • If position requires IV therapy/management skills, completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing is required.
  • A minimum of 3-month previous experience in Long Term Care is required; 6 months preferred.
  • An unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.

The estimated salary for this role is $24.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
