Physician Assistant Community Care Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health - Central Texas. As a Physician Assistant Community Care, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to our patients in a community-based setting. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to assess patient conditions and develop treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions.
- Prescribe and manage medication therapies, as well as perform procedures in accordance with approved protocols.
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and goals.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families on health-related topics, including medication management and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and evidence-based practices to provide the highest level of care.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
- Certification/License/Registration: Physician Assistants (PA), Basic Life Support (BLS).
